Free and reduced-price lunch
This shows the percentage of students participating in the federal free and reduced-price lunch program as
reported by the state. This is one indication of the student economic level (or family income level) at
a school. The percentages are only useful, however, to compare schools with the same grade levels. As
students get older, they are less likely to participate in the lunch program; high schools typically have lower
rates than middle and elementary schools, although student economic levels may be similar.
